Live on the Drive
Live on the Drive has posted their summer concert series lineup. This year’s kick off concert is Thursday, June 9, 6-8 p.m. featuring Rio Nido. Concerts will also be held on July 14 featuring #MPLS and August 11 featuring Ashley Dubose. Live on the Drive is a free concert series with a variety of music for all ages and musical tastes hosted by Cleveland Neighborhood Association with support from the Victory Neighborhood Association that happens once per month throughout the summer on the beautiful Victory Memorial Drive and 34th Ave. For more information visit liveonthedrive.org.
Folwell Neighborhood Ice Cream Social
Folwell neighborhood is hosting their annual ice cream social on Thursday, June 16, 5:30-8 p.m. at Folwell Park (1615 Dowling Ave N). Join friends and neighbors for an evening of music, ice cream, games, bounce houses and more! Many community resources will be on hand with activities, information and giveaways. Adopt-A-Litter Container: A little help to make our City shine
Minneapolis is a pretty amazing place. With so many things to do and sights to see, what’s not to love? But let’s face it, our beautiful City has some unsightly messes. So let’s all work together to tidy it up. With just a little help, we’ll make this place shine. The City of Minneapolis has placed litter containers in high pedestrian traffic areas in an effort to reduce the amount of litter that finds its way onto the street. When you volunteer for the Adopt-A-Litter Container program, you’re helping us place and maintain litter containers in other areas that need them.
Select from two levels of involvement by either (A) removing filled bags from the litter container and placing them in your garbage cart or waste dumpster, or (B) requesting removal service from the Division of Solid Waste and Recycling for a monthly fee to be added to your utility bill. The cost for removal services is $12 per month for once a week pickup, $24 per month for twice a week pickup, plus tax.
