The Story Garden is launching Humboldt Honey straight from 35th and Humboldt! We have had bees at the garden for the past few years with different bee keepers rotating through. This summer I took on an internship to learn and study beekeeping so that as The Story Garden Caretaker, I could become the Guardian of the Bees. This has been an exciting summer and one where I have learned so much. In the month of September, we harvested almost 200lbs of honey and will have it ready for sale in October.
Humboldt Honey is being sold in pints for $15 and half pints for $10. All proceeds go to purchasing supplies and equipment needed to care for the bees. Our raw honey is a garden variety where we commit to organic plants and use no chemical treatment. Honey Bees do however travel up to two miles for pollen.
Honey is anti-inflammatory and anti-viral making it a key ingredient for reducing illness. We are thrilled to be able to offer super locally sourced, deeply loved, and cared-for product to our neighbors.
