The Northside Center for Emotional Wellness LLC & the Yoga Room, 4151 Thomas Ave N., provides mental health therapy services for children and families. Owner Laurie Schlosser is a child psychologist, and the Center’s focus is to promote emotional wellness by making therapy and integrative services available in our community. The Center’s yoga room portion provides yoga classes, meditation workshops and other self-care opportunities for adults. Parents of children seeking therapy services can engage in their own self-care while their child is in session; they can schedule a chair massage, acupuncture, use the yoga room or meditate while they wait. Body-based interventions such as yoga, mindfulness and meditation are helpful for improving general well-being, and decreasing feelings of anxiety and depression. The Center has three therapists with decades of mental health experience. They accept most major insurance coverage. Info: 612-310-8683 or northsidecenter.net.
