Youthline Summer Adventure Series offers free outdoor activities

A trip to the Perkins Hill Pump Track is one of many adventures offered for free this summer.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to announce the Youthline Summer Adventure Series, a new program that offers fun, free outdoor trips and activities for people ages 12-17.

Full summer free outdoor adventures include sailing, kayaking, biking, ice skating, bowling, laser tag, an Olympics-style competition, summertime cookouts, and a trip to the St. Paul Saints game! All activities are free for Minneapolis residents, including round-trip transportation from the park where you register.

There are 11 activities planned over summer. Some are one-time events offered out of every Youthline site; some are offered out of select sites several times over the summer.

Large-Group Events: These one-time events are offered from a variety of Youthline sites across Minneapolis. Use the link in the program title to sign up from a park near you. Free round-trip transportation is provided for every activity.

Small-Group Activities: These activities are offered with guidance from expert instructors for smaller groups on several dates throughout the summer. Use the link in the program title to view dates, locations and sign up. Free round-trip transportation is provided for every activity.
