Lots of community members, including at least one school group, came out to enjoy the Minneapolis Police Department 4th Precinct Open House on a beautiful sunny May 16. It was held in the parking lot and an open grassy area across Plymouth Ave.
It was a great chance for community members, both young and old, to get to visit with police officers, civilian staff and 911 dispatchers, and pick up various items being handed out. They were also able to check out the vehicles, equipment and animals (police horses and dogs). Everyone was also treated to a free meal of hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, chips, pumpkin bread, cookies and beverages at the open house.
