More than 500 Minnesotans will be spanning across dozens of communities state-wide this summer as part of the second annual Summer Impact Corps, an AmeriCorps program that helps communities meet critical needs.
The 12-week program seeks high school graduates ages 17 and older who are passionate about youth development, climate leadership and housing insecurity. Applications close May 8, with a June start date. Visit ampact.us/summer to learn more and apply.
In its inaugural year, Summer Impact Corps engaged 400 members at 195 partner organizations. This summer, the program will impact over 75 communities throughout Minnesota by pairing participants with local nonprofits.
Members serve 35-40 hours per week and earn a stipend of $6,600 plus an extra $1,459 for tuition or student loans. Members also qualify for free individual health insurance, student loan forbearance and interest repayment. Childcare assistance is available based on income and family size. Info: ampact.us/summer.
