Also of note @ the Capri

Activities at the Capri are ramping up this summer in anticipation of the grand opening in October.

The West Broadway Farmers’ Market, “The Friendliest Market in Town,” will be located on the plaza at the Capri from 3-7 p.m. every Friday running June 18 through October 8. Stop by for an amazing community experience, to meet great people and find delicious, fresh food.

PYC Arts & Technology High School graduates will celebrate their graduation at the new Capri on Friday, June 4. The event is open to a very limited number of people, but will be available via livestream to all who want to see and celebrate this auspicious occasion. PYC is one of three dynamic programs operated by PCYC; the other two are the Capri and Bright Futures:

K-5 Enrichment at PCYC.

Be sure to watch for the launch of the Capri’s new website in June. It’s got a whole new look to compliment the new Capri! You’ll find all you’ll need to know to Be @ the Capri for legacy events like Legends, Capri Glee!, CAST, First Thursday Films, SPCO @ the Capri and more, plus some exciting, new rental events. Speaking of which, the Capri is now booking rentals for events beginning the week of October 11 and after. To start the rental process, go to thecapritheater.org/rent-4.

Finally, the Capri’s Rich History. Bright Future. video series features stories of Capri history and hope, told by friends, supporters and Northside neighbors. Videos released so far include great storytelling by J.D. and Fred Steele; Keiona Cook and George Roberts; Craig Laurence Rice and Desdamona; and Dennis Spears and Kevin West. Videos are posted regularly at thecapritheater.org and on the Capri’s Facebook page. Tune in – and enjoy!
