Victory’s programs and activities are made possible through a corps of dedicated neighborhood volunteers. To become more involved, attend a committee meeting or call the ViNA office at 612-529-9558. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and to meet your neighbors.

Northside Neighborhoods 2020

Saturday, November 3, 1-4 p.m.
Juxtaposition Arts, 2007 Emerson Avenue North

Take part in a creativity-driven collaboration of Northside residents and city leaders to direct the future of Minneapolis neighborhoods and community engagement. Turn your community’s voice into your power. Refreshments and kids’ activities will be offered.

 

100th Anniversary World War I Remembrance

Sunday, November 11, 10 a.m.

Victory Memorial Drive at 45th Avenue North

Join Hennepin County and local leaders to mark Veterans’ Day and the centennial of the World War I Armistice. A program begins at 10 a.m. that will feature speakers who will discuss the war’s impact on the local community. A moment of silence begins at 11 a.m. and attendees will be able to observe the ‘sun dial’ feature of the flagpole which casts a shadow on a plaza marker at the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month.

Home Improvement Rebates: Approximately $25,000 of $100,000 remains in ViNA’s Home Improvement Rebate pool. Funds are dispersed on a first come/first-served basis and applications are due for review by the first Thursday of every month. Program guidelines and application materials can be found at victoryneighborhood.org.

Energy Assistance: Income-qualified homeowners and renters may be eligible to get help reducing the cost of their gas and electric bills through energy affordability programs and by receiving assistance to reduce the energy output of their homes.
