Hear SPCO’s A Joyful Noise

The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) opens its 7th season of chamber music concerts at the Capri Theater with A Joyful Noise at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 10.  Thanks to SPCO’s generosity, you can see this concert for free! Register for your free tickets, available on a first-come, first served basis, at thecapritheater.org.  The Capri is located at 2027 West Broadway.

A Joyful Noise features Wynton Marsalis’ Quartet No. 1 from At the Octoroon Balls, inspired by the composer’s early life in New Orleans and drawing from the Creole music he heard growing up in that city.

Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer, bandleader, educator and a leading advocate of American culture. He’s created an expansive range of brilliant new music that has placed him among the world’s finest musicians and composers.

Come hear the music of this incredible composer played by extraordinary musicians from SPCO in the intimate setting of the Capri. It promises to be a very special evening of music, right here in the neighborhood.

Tickets for guaranteed general admission seating may also be purchased at thespco.org or the SPCO ticket office at 651-291-1144.

The SPCO/Capri partnership has attracted new audiences for both organizations and the series is now an established and treasured asset of the Northside community.
