July 2015 – People

Camden musician Dan Hylton is launching his new band, Southern Resident Killer Whales, at Boom Island Brewery’s 2nd Annual Boom Days celebration on Saturday, July 18. Relative to his last band, the Ghostrunners, Hylton describes his new band’s acoustic-driven style of indie pop as being “A little less introspective, a little more trippy.” Among the three musicians joining Hylton in his latest effort is fellow Northside multi-instrumentalist Mark Anderson. Boom Days features at full slate of live music from 2-7 p.m. at 2014 N Washington Ave., and Southern Resident Killer Whales takes the stage at 5. Info: danhylton.com.
