Spring is a time for new beginnings, especially here in Shingle Creek
As you may have heard or read, new things are on the horizon for the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association. After over a year of meeting, collaborating, researching and studying the pros and cons we have decided to merge with our neighbors at the Victory Neighborhood Association. You can read about that in more detail in this issue of the Camden News. We will continue to support our community and ensure that everyone still has a voice. Shingle Creek Victory Council is excited to start work together serving our community.
Even though we are moving forward with this new energy and organization, we need to take time to send a huge shoutout and thank to you to all of the community members that gave their time and energy to making this organization a success since its creation in 1992. Throughout our history so many people have given countless hours of their time, energy, money, brainpower and determination to make Shingle Creek a fun and vibrant place to live. Our little corner of Minneapolis owes everything to those who came before us and laid the groundwork for us to continue this incredible work into the future.
Thank you doesn’t feel like enough to convey our feelings to everyone who has had a hand in getting us where we are today. Your legacy will lead us into the future and allow us to continue the work you started. There truly would be no “us” without you and Shingle Creek wouldn’t be what it is today with your dedication.
