Cleveland Park improvements plan

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has been collaborating with the Cleveland Park community and Camden Community stakeholders for a new phase of improvements at the park, following the improvements constructed in 2020.
Based on that community engagement and other factors, the project team has created a final concept plan for improvements.
Improvements in the final plan include: New planted natural areas; full and half-size basketball courts; small Bankshot-style court; one large multi-use field; a Ninja course; outdoor athletic equipment; path and other site improvements; updated picnic area; upgrades for lighting and security; and amphitheater (as funding allows).
What’s next? Everyone is encouraged to review the plan and provide feedback at/or before the public hearing on Wednesday, March 4, 6:30 p.m. at MPRB, 2117 West River Road. Before the meeting you may provide feedback — call 612-230-6400 or email opentime@minneapolisparks.org.
After the hearing, Park Board commissioners will vote on whether to approve the plan. If the plan is approved, construction contractors will then bid on a detailed version of it. Construction is anticipated to begin later in 2025.
