Construction of improvements at Victory Park, including a new splash pad and other park amenities, is nearing completion following work by contractors for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) over the summer and fall.
While some minor work may occur yet this month, construction has paused for the winter and will resume in spring 2025. Remaining work includes: Full testing of the splash pad; minor concrete work; installation of fabric on shade structures; and restoration of turf in a small fenced area.
MPRB anticipates the splash pad will open to to the public in late spring/early summer, at the same time as other MPRB outdoor aquatic facilities.
