The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) announced a new project that will create a plan to guide improvements and stewardship at North Mississippi Regional Park for the next 20+ years.
The plan for North Mississippi Regional Park will be developed over the next two years through a collaboration between the project team, advisory committees, community groups and park users.
North Mississippi Park covers 67 acres along the North Minneapolis riverfront, including the Carl W. Kroening Nature Center building. The park features trails that wind through woodland, prairie and riverfront areas, river access with a boat launch, large picnic areas, and a playground and wading pool.
