The opening day for the 117th season at Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary season was April 16. Now you can welcome spring and enjoy the season as it unfolds in this special, historic native plant botanic garden.
Join Garden staff for tours, birding and much more for all ages! These programs are free, no registration necessary: Garden Tour, every open Garden Day, 11-11:45 a.m.; Flower Hour, Thursday evenings, May 2-June 27, 5-6 p.m.; and Summer Solstice Celebration, Thursday, June 20, 5-8 p.m.
Spring and Summer Birding, meet at the EBWG Parking Lot: Early Birders, Saturdays, April 20-August 31, 7:30-9 a.m.; Evening Bird Stroll, Thursdays in May and June, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; and Wirth Park Spring Birding, select Thursdays in May, 7:30-9 a.m.
The season runs April 16-October 15, weekends only October 19-20 and 26-27. Days are Tuesday-Sunday from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Thursdays open until 8 p.m. through September 1. Closed Mondays.
Additional Programs include: Garden Storytime for families, Thursdays, May 2-October 12 from 10-10:30 a.m., and Saturdays, May 4- October 19 from 3-3:30 p.m.; Knitting in Nature, select Thursdays, May – August, 5-6:30 p.m.; Spring Nature Journaling, Sundays in May, 2-3 p.m.; and Quaking Bog Walk, first Saturdays and third Sundays starting in June.
