U of M hosts Diversity Career Fair – great jobs and benefits

Written by Libby Stille

Looking for a new job? The University of Minnesota (U of M) has hundreds of jobs available on its Twin Cities campus, which includes Minneapolis, St. Paul and other locations across the metro area. The Twin Cities campus is hiring for positions across more than 20 departments.

The U of M will be showcasing a wide range of open jobs at its upcoming Diversity Career Fair, on Thursday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McNamara Alumni Center, 200 Oak Street SE. Attendees can meet recruiters and hiring managers from across the University at the fair. The U of M specifically welcomes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color), veterans and people with disabilities to attend.

Benefits of working at the U of M’s Twin Cities campus include free or reduced-cost University classes, the employee transit pass, 12 paid holidays per year, and low-cost health insurance. Employees report that the benefits are a large reason why they work and continue to work at the University, as well as the people they work with. “The people here are fun, interesting and team-oriented,” said Janee Meyers, a business manager with Capital Projects Management. “The University is like a small city. We have such a wide spectrum of people working here and a variety of job opportunities. Whatever your talent, you can put it to good use.”
