We have two ways to get involved!
Residents- Volunteer to clean up your own block and we will provide you with supplies. Email green@folwell.org for more information and get signed up!
Folwell Youth- GET PAID to help clean up our neighborhood! Younger kids can sign up to clean with their adults anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Older kids can go out with our crew– start time is 11 a.m. at 3701 Fremont Ave N– we will have snacks and drinks! Email info@folwell.org with any questions.
FNA Community Night- Tuesday May 7, 6:30 p.m. at 3701 Fremont Ave
We will be welcoming representatives from the Minneapolis City Trees Program who will have resources available to residents and will answer any questions you have about caring for your trees.
Garden Tool Swap- Saturday May 11, 9 a.m.-noon at Folwell Park Rec Center- 1615 N Dowling
Calling gardeners from all over! We are happy to be the Northside site host for the Minneapolis Garden Tool Swap. Bring any garden tools, pots or decor (no chemicals) that you no longer need and/or come shop for some new-to-you items. Thanks to a Generous Folwell Resident, North End Hardware and Sovereign Starts Seedling company we will also have some new hand tools and seedlings to give away. We will also have information on how to get involved at our two community gardens– Zen on Penn and The Story Garden.
And One Lucky Folwell Resident will receive a “Gardening Starter kit” which will include a raised bed, soil, plants and hand tools– find the link to sign up for the drawing at folwell.org or on our facebook page.
