Music for little ones

Come sing, dance, play and learn with your infant, toddler or preschooler in our award-winning Music Together classes here in North Minneapolis at North Market. Why? So you can:

•              Bond more closely with your child through song.

•              Make new friends for both you and your little one.

•              Support your child’s overall development, knowing that music learning supports all learning.

•              Help them learn to sing and dance as naturally as they learn to walk and talk.

•              Have loads of fun because children teach themselves through play.

We bring families together in a warm, supportive environment with the goal of having everyone feel comfortable singing, dancing and jamming. Because young children learn best from the powerful role models in their lives, our engaging classes show parents and caregivers how to help their children become confident, lifelong music-makers just by having fun making music themselves. Classes are mixed-age so the siblings can be together. Infants under eight months on the first day of the fall session (born after Jan. 25, 2023) attend free with a paid sibling. Receive a CD, a code to download the music, an illustrated songbook and parent education materials.

Free demo classes at North Market: Thursdays Sept. 7 and 14 at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on both days. Classes are free but registration is required. Register at MusicTogetherClasses.org. Myra Curry, long time North Minneapolis resident, will be the teacher.

The 10-week fall session has one 45-minute class weekly Sept. 28-Dec. 7. Registration is at MusicTogetherClasses.org. Scholarships are available. Contact Clarice@MusicTogetherClasses.org.
