The Memorial Day weekend was kicked off on Thursday, May 25 with a short ceremony by the Charles R. Knaeble VFW Post #494 from Crystal and a concert by the Robbinsdale City Band at the Victory Memorial Drive Flagpole plaza. The Robbinsdale City Band, which was originally known as the Robbinsdale Civic Club Band, has been in continuous existence for 117 years having been founded in 1906. It should be noted that you can join the band even if you don’t live in Robbinsdale.
