SCNA is always looking for new Board Members who represent different aspects of the neighborhood to work with us to advocate for our neighbors. Board Members work with a variety of partners in planning events that benefit Shingle Creek residents, including road construction, park activities, safety concerns, cultural events, and much more. You can be as active as your schedule allows. If you are interested, please consider reaching out.

  Join us in March where Shingle Creek residents are meeting, and getting to meet each other, to learn about topics, discuss them, grow and stay connected! We will be planning upcoming community events. The meetings will be held in person at Creekview Recreation Center

  • KIPP 2023 Gala, March 25, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Join KIPP for their annual fundraiser at Westminster Hall as they come together to instill hope and inspire action as they venture to narrow the educational and professional gap present among BIPOC communities. The gala will consist of a social hour, formal dinner, dynamic keynote speaker Kinnari Patel-Smyth (President of KIPP Foundation) and conclude with headlining entertainment from Nachito Herrera and Havana Jazz All Stars. When Hennepin County residents are in a financial crisis that poses a direct threat to their physical health or safety, the county may be able to help by providing short-term aid. Services may include emergency temporary shelter, housing costs like payments, damage deposits, home repairs and utility bills, foreclosure prevention, moving expenses and transportation to relocate, or extra food support for people on special diets. Contact for status updates on current applications through the county, 612-596-1900, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
