Legends @ the Capri is back for Season 13! The popular music series offers fabulous tunes, amazing talent and much joy to audiences at the Capri Theater in the heart of North Minneapolis. Artistic Director Dennis Spears has crafted an all-star season boasting four can’t-miss concerts. Season 13 opens October 15-16.
Broadway En Noir, featuring music from historically Black Broadway musicals – from Cabin in the Sky to Dreamgirls and beyond — opens the series and will be presented on Saturday, October 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 16 at 3 p.m.
Next up is An Evening with the Divine Miss E!, a fiery tribute to Bette Midler, with Erin Schwab and her Staggering Harlettes on Saturday, January 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m. Erin’s incredible stage presence and vocal stylings bring out the absolute best in Bette’s music!
Spring brings Taylor Made, where Michael Monroe and Dennis Spears team up to pay homage to the writings and vocal stylings of James Taylor, including Fire & Rain and so much more! On stage Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 26 at 3 p.m.
Closing out Series 13 is Sanford Moore: Return to Paradise for four performances on Saturday, May 6 at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 3 p.m. Sanford is back in Paradise with a fresh program of classical, jazz and gospel music. His 2022 Recital in Paradise played to sell-out crowds!
All concerts are on stage at the Capri, located at 2027 W. Broadway. Season passes ($80), Capri Star season passes ($180), and single tickets ($25 each) will be available August 1 at capri.simpletix.com.
