A message from Principal Abdullah
It is great to get back into the swing of things with students and staff after a major teacher strike followed by Spring Break. There have been many impacts on our staff and students, including the school day was extended by 42 minutes and the school year extended to June 24. There have been opinions about the extended day and year, but we are preparing for a strong finish. Our focus for the remainder of the year will be to mitigate as much harm as possible, show grace and build community. We will prioritize student learning, credit recovery, graduation and joy. This has been a challenging year due to the pandemic, substitute teacher shortages, the teacher strike, and now the extended school day and year. It will be critical that we at Henry High School ground ourselves by being student-centered and focusing on what matters the most.
Henry High School Graduation will be on June 11 at 5 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center as scheduled previously. Seniors may return to Henry to complete classes if needed.
