The MSP Film Society presents the 41st Annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF41) from Thursday, May 5 through Thursday, May 19.
Eleven films will be featured at the Capri Theater during the festival, including Gordon Parks’ action thriller, Shaft,a movie that many long-time Northside residents may have seen when it originally played at the Capri back in the early ‘70s.The movie is a part of the MSPIFF41 Luminary Tribute to Gordon Parks which also includes screenings of The Learning Tree, Leadbelly and Half Past Autumn.

On a larger scale, the MSPIFF41 theme ‘Shine Through’ invites us all to shine through the darkness of the past two years as fest-goers gather once again to enjoy more than 200 films from around the world, plus a full array of parties, panels, tributes and guest filmmaker discussions. In keeping with MSP Film Society’s mission “to increase audience access to these wonderful films and to meet our community wherever they are most comfortable,” more than half of the films in the MSPIFF41 will also be available to screen virtually.
Tickets to MSPIFF41 virtual screenings, and regular screenings at the Capri are $10 for MSP film society members, $15 for the general public, and $8 for students.
MSPIFF41 premium screenings include the Opening Night Film & Party, which costs $40 for MSP film society members, $60 for general public; and the Closing Night Film & Party, which costs $20 for MSP film society members, $30 for general public.
MSPIFF 6-packs are $50 for MSP film society members, $75 for the general public, and $25 for students, which equals buy five tickets/get one free for any regular screening. MSPIFF 6-packs can be shared between multiple people. (Not valid for premium or virtual screenings.)
