With the extended school day, Henry High School staff wanted students to have another venue to explore their identity, interests, and joy. “Offering more options with club activities is one way for students to take advantage of this opportunity during the school day,” say organizers Heather Hauck and Chelsea Goslin.
Students may choose to be in an Advisory Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays during their advisory period. They can take one or all activities from now until the end of the school year. The topic menu is based on talents or passions of staff, what individuals want to share with interested students.
Activities currently include basketball, photography, board/card games, knitting, Trivia Club, Bollywood Film Club, Drama Club, karaoke, Asian Cultural Club, Green Team, Student Council, origami, chess, outdoor recreation, and Library Advisory Board.
