Z Puppets Rosenschnoz is on a mission to amaze and delight Camp Capri middle schoolers with a glow-in-the-dark sea creature workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Capri. Students will work with Z Puppets’ talented artists and fun lovers, to build blacklight puppets and explore how to perform with them. No experience is necessary, lunch is served, masks are required, and CCS3 is free, but registration is required each month at thecapri.org.
Z Puppets is known around the country for bringing people of all ages and abilities into the power of playfulness! From their yoga puppet rock opera starring monkey pirates, to a platypus piano musical, and a French accordion lobster farce, Z Puppets’ unique blend of live music, zealous humor and hand-crafted puppetry makes for an extraordinary experience for kids and families.
“It is a great honor and responsibility to bring youth and adults into the process of making meaning of the world through the arts,” says Shari Aronson, co-founder and co-creative director of Z Puppets, who began her work in theater as a playwright.
Chris Griffith, also a founder and creative director of Z Puppets, started his career as an accomplished juggler/street performer. “We are especially thrilled to instigate the transformative experience of sharing laughter.”
Behold the power of playfulness this March at Camp Capri S3! Up to 25 students in grades 5-8 can participate in this free session. Registration is open now at thecapri.org. Questions may be directed to company manager Kiana Batteau, kianabatteau@gmail.com or 612-559-6289.
