Get the kids outside for fall youth sports in the parks

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) will host several youth sports leagues this fall with an emphasis on health and safety.

Register your child for fall sports in Minneapolis Parks! Check out the links at  minneapolisparks.org to find a league that works for your family: Flag Football–Practices will begin late August to early September. Games will begin Friday, September 18 and the last game will take place on Friday, October 23. All leagues are open (no gender requirements). For soccer– practice times vary by site, August-October. Girls and open leagues available.

Minneapolis residents who cannot afford instructional fees because of economic need may apply for fee assistance through the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Fee Assistance Program.

MPRB staff is monitoring guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health on a daily basis and developed league rules and guidelines around recommendations from public health experts. Youth outdoor soccer and youth outdoor flag football will take place with modifications in place to help protect all league participants while offering opportunities to compete, have fun and be healthy in the parks this fall.
