Following a grand opening in October, the Webber-Camden Youth Center (WCYC) has been open every Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at 4350 Fremont Ave N, in the building adjacent to Northern United Methodist Church and just downstairs from Hopewell Music Cooperative North.
The WCYC offers free music recording equipment, instruments and software to youth in the area, mainly focused on teens ages 12-19. The Teen Tech Squad from North Regional Library is available at the WCYC on every third Tuesday of the month, and brings even more musical equipment and expertise to the space when they are here.
Although we are currently closed, similar to many youth centers in the area due to the corona virus, we are planning on featuring retro video games, such as PacMan, Galaga, Super Mario Brothers, and other old school favorites, once we reopen. Keep the WCYC on your radar in the future, as we will continue to offer free music recording opportunities to all Northside teens! Info: hopewellmusic.com/wcyc.
