SCNA Annual Board Meeting and Board Elections, Tuesday, April 9, 6:30 p.m.
We invite Shingle Creek residents to come celebrate SCNA’s 2018 successes at this year’s SCNA’s Annual Board meeting and Board Elections!
All Shingle Creek neighborhood residents are eligible voting members and qualify to be elected to the volunteer board of 15 for a two-year term. Board members meet once a month as the board, including some monthly committee and event work. SCNA is currently seeking to fill 7 board member positions to help us diversify and strengthen our board and work. SCNA is a 501c3 organization. Our mission is to organize to be a voice of the community, to advocate and promote the Shingle Creek neighborhood, to improve neighborhood livability and economic opportunities, to involve and empower residents, and to promote the safety and health of our community and its residents.
Our broad-range historical projects and work have included: Renters, Get Woke, and various educational forums raising our voices about community needs. We’ve advocated for Humboldt Industrial Park improvements, Home loans, School Reuse and Repurposing. We’ve worked on neighborhood livability issues including ADM Flour Beetle, Environmental Advocacy of air, water and land; provided books and supplies for over 1000 local school students; and hosted and cohosted community events that promote safety, health, and our community.

We invite you to attend our free family-fun 25th Annual Shingle Creek Clean-up at Creekview Park, 5001 Humboldt Ave N! We provide bags, gloves, door prizes!
Clean up from 9:30-11 a.m. Light lunch from 11 a.m.-noon.
