We need your help with winning $100,000 to make our dream music and technology center a reality!
Hopewell Music Cooperative North and North United Methodist Church are partnering to create the Webber-Camden Youth Center (WCYC)! The WCYC will be the first of its kind in the Camden Community – a drop-in music and technology center located in the basement of North United Church available for youth ages 12-19 to be a part of after school.
WCYC will encourage creativity, expression and discovery by providing youth access to professional music technology and software at no cost. Not only will youth be able to explore their musical ideas and passions, they will also be part of a supportive community, learn tech and arts skills, and have the option to receive homework help! There will also be a paid Teen Tech Squad who will design and lead workshops, organize equipment, assist others and run a teen advisory board.
We are proud to announce that the Webber-Camden Youth Center is a part of the A Community Thrives! Challenge. It’s a friendly fundraising campaign launched by USA TODAY where community-focused organizations compete to raise the most money with the top teams winning a grand prize donation of $100,000. The campaign runs from March 18 to April 12.
This is our chance to create the state of the art music and technology center that our Camden neighborhoods deserve. We can’t do this without the help and support of the community.
