I just want to comment on the name change for Patrick Henry High School. I belong to the Henry alumni association and I can tell you that no one is happy about this suggestion. Many of these young people that want the name change have no real connection to this area.
If we are going to change the name because Patrick Henry owned slaves we will have to change the names of half the streets in Minneapolis.
I hope that those in responsible positions will not allow this to happen. I have lived in this area all my life and do not want this to happen. The name Patrick Henry really means something to those of us who attended that school.
