Cleveland Neighborhood did it again! We hosted our 4th annual North Housing Fair on March 24 in partnership with Center for Energy and Environment, Keller Williams, and the City of Minneapolis’ Neighborhood and Community Relations department! This event was a success with 63 vendors, a Home Depot Kids workshop, a free first-time home buyer class hosted by Community Action, and a free lunch provided by the Camden Lions! Some attendees won a shopping spree, a Please Recycle Sign, a succulent garden, and so much more! Fifteen Do-it-yourself workshops were held throughout the day by North End Hardware, Nstructions, Northside Greenway Now!, City of Minneapolis Recycles and more!
Now that we finished that, our Green Committee is gearing up for another planting season and our Crime and Safety Committee is hosting a Spring Clean Up on Earth Day on Saturday April 21! We will be meeting at Lutheran Memorial Church 3751 Sheridan Ave at 10 a.m. to grab gloves and bags. We will end up at Cleveland Community Garden on Vincent and Lowry where we will share a nice meal prepared by Tooties! Come join us. This will be a fun, family friendly event!
We are also making plans for this year’s Live on the Drive concert series! So far the movies will be La La Land, Wonder Woman and A Wrinkle in Time! We have one band booked so far but we won’t announce who they are until all bands are set…So stay tuned!
