Students will soon be able to receive face-to-face help with their homework at Hennepin County Library—Webber Park. The library system’s Homework Help program, already very popular at the North Regional and Brookdale Libraries, will be expanded to Webber Park Library beginning February 13 and continuing until the end of the school year. The library currently is looking for volunteers to help make it happen.
Tutors will be available Tuesday evenings from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Students of all ages are welcome to use the service. Students arriving early after school may take advantage of a free snack program from 3:30 to 4 p.m., open to all children under 18.
Right now Webber Park Library is recruiting new volunteer tutors for Homework Help. Potential volunteers may fill out a volunteer application on the Library website, hclib.org/about/support. Adults and teens 16 years and older may become volunteers.
