Active Pass now required for youth at the Webber Natural Swimming Pool

Effective July 18 all unaccompanied youth ages 13-17 will need a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Active Pass to check into the Webber Natural Swimming Pool (NSP). Youth arriving at the pool with a parent or guardian will not need an Active Pass.

The MPRB Active Pass is the same free pass that allows youth to use many MPRB programs and services, such as the popular Nite Owlz, open gyms, computer labs and other drop-in programs, without a parent or guardian. The requirement for Active Passes at MPRB pools and water parks is being piloted at the Webber NSP this summer and may be expanded to Jim Lupient and North Commons Water Parks in 2018. Active Passes will increase customer service, user safety, and help staff identify young people in the event of an emergency.

Active Passes are free and easy to get. Simply add the Webber NSP Teen Pass to an existing Active.net account, or visit the nearest MPRB recreation center to sign up for a new account. Youth arriving at the Webber NSP who have not registered for an Active Pass can go to the nearby Webber Recreation Center and sign up, and then be checked into the pool.

All unaccompanied youth ages 13-17 must have an Active Pass on their person to check-in to the Webber NSP. A $1 fee is required for replacement cards.
