Summer at the Story Garden

If you have never stopped by the Story Garden in Folwell on 35th and Humboldt, summer is the perfect time! The strawberries are fresh, the black raspberries are almost ripe, the green onions ready to pick. Like many gardens in the spring, so many vegetables aren’t quite ready, (and we got a late start planting) but that doesn’t stop neighbors from coming and joining the activities.

Our first movie night was a huge success! We also offer meditation and spoken word. Check the schedule out to see when fun things are happening come over and join us:

Weekly care for the Garden: Every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Always chores to do, and many hands make light work.

Meditation with Ms. Taalibah: Saturday, June 24, 6-7 p.m., bring a bath towel or yoga mat.

First Friday Movie Night: July 7 at 8:45 p.m. – Kid friendly! Bring a blanket or a beverage.

Spoken Word with Joe Davis: Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. An amazing time for open mic and hearing the powerful work of Joe Davis.
