Celebrate! For the 10th year, Legends @ the Capri delivers amazing music, top-notch talent and much joy to audiences at the Capri Theater in the heart of North Minneapolis. With gratitude for your support of Dennis Spears’ creative vision and the ongoing renaissance of this theater and community, we proudly announce: Season 10!

First up, Bacharach…All Saxed Up! featuring vivacious vocalists Cookie Coleman and Patty Peterson with saxophonist Kathy Jensen, on September 30 and October 1.

Germain Brooks, Kianna Marie and Kim Johnson sing The Supremes greatest hits in Supreme Love on November 18 and 19.

Our February Valentines show features classic love songs from the Great American Song Book. Judy Donaghy Vinar and the Wolverines Jazz Trio bring you Taking a Chance on Love on February 10 and 11.

And we close the 10th season just as we started the first! Debbie Duncan, Charmin Michelle and Dennis Spears, who starred in the very first Legends concert in 2007, bring you a Legends Bouquet on April 21 and 22.

Saturday night concerts begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday concerts start at 3 p.m. Season tickets for the four shows are $80 (a $20 savings over single ticket prices); available at thecapritheater.org or Capri TicketWorks at 612-343-3390. Capri Star season tickets are also available for $125, including a $45 tax-deductible contribution to Capri Theater arts programs.

Also of note: “This will be the last legendary season in the Capri ‘as is,’ ” said Capri Director James Scott.  “After Season 10, we break ground for the Capri expansion and will take the show on the road for a year while the theater is closed for construction. Be sure to pop in wherever Legends pops up during that time.”  For info on the Capri expansion, contact James Scott at 612-643-2024 or jscott@pcyc-mpls.org; or visit thecapritheater.org.

“Our 10th season is filled with such great music, history and spirit,” said Dennis Spears. “Get your friends and family together and join us for all four shows!”
