Cleveland Neighborhood recently hosted its successful 2nd Annual Housing Fair at Lucy Laney Elementary on Saturday, March 18. For the first time, we implemented a health component where community members, Laura Schlosser and Bryant Garrott, volunteered their time to teach Yoga and Tai Chi workshops!
We heard a lot of positive responses from attendees and vendors. One vendor said, “Of all the community engagement fairs I have been to, this was by far attended by some of the most warm and friendly people I have ever met.”
Cleveland Neighborhood will be partnering with Eureka Recycling and the City of Minneapolis Solid Waste and Recycling to host our Annual Spring Clean Up Day on Earth Day Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
We will be meeting at Cleveland Community Garden on Lowry Ave. at 10 a.m. and will end at Lutheran Memorial Church at noon where we will enjoy a community lunch. Bring your entire family, and invite your neighbors!
