SCNA website and Newsletter updates

SCNA is kicking off 2017 with a fresh new-looking website that is designed to be more user friendly for all kinds of electronic devices. Based on feedback from our Steering Committee listening sessions we heard the older website designed with the help of students of Rev Academy, launched in 2014, had a lot of information but simply needed an update. We’ve simplified it and given it a fresh new look. Residents can find out who SCNA is, what it does, and how they can get involved right from the homepage. We also have homeowner resource links, program information, and history of our organization and the area also on our website.

Along with this important website update, SCNA will for the first time be going to a bimonthly publication of our Community Connections newsletter in 2017: Six times rather than 12 times this year, along with some special mailings, and SCNA will be printing and delivering the Community Connections newsletter. If residents prefer to have an emailed copy rather than a printed copy mailed to them they can sign up for our e-newsletter at our website at shinglecreekmpls.org. Our archived monthly printed newsletters are also available online under the What? Tab.

SCNA Neighborhood Information Meeting Tuesday, January 10, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association offers various neighborhood meetings to invite guest speakers in so we can learn more about specific topics. This month we’ll again be having representatives from MetroTransit to talk about the improvements on Brooklyn Boulevard and the bus stops. The SCNA Board Meeting will follow this neighborhood meeting. Please feel free to join us! Light refreshments will be served.
