Be uplifted! The Capri Glee! Adult Community Choir, under the direction of J.D. Steele, performs in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 15 at the Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway. The concert, which is free and open to the public, also includes two guest choirs, the MacPhail Community Youth Choir (MCYC) and the Mill City Community Choir.
“We invite everyone to be at the Capri for this soulful, joyful event,” said J.D. Steele. “We’re singing music that will engage our audience in a heartfelt, poignant and celebratory way. It’s music that elevates the spirit – where music meets magic.”
The concert will feature different musical genres including some old-time Gospel tunes and an homage to Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 sung by MCYC. The Mill City Community Choir will join the Capri Glee! and MCYC choirs for the last song of the night, bringing the total number of singers on stage to 100. With audience participation also encouraged the glee-full voices will certainly raise the roof at the Capri!
