The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) hired a contractor to begin work on the second phase of a series of improvements to Ryan Lake Park. Over the next few weeks, a new patio, small garden and bike racks will be installed near the intersection of 47th Avenue N and Xerxes Avenue N. Later this year a picnic table and bench will also be added to the park.
During the first phase of this project, an accessible sidewalk that connects to the fishing pier was built and an old building near the lake was removed. The MPRB thanks the numerous donors who provided pavers for the patio and the Victory Neighborhood Association for donating time and money to improve the park.
