As you know, the rain caused the Lowry Corridor Business Association to cancel this year’s Harvest Festival. Unfortunately, there are no rain delay clauses in their permits with the City of Minneapolis or with any of the vendors they worked with. Darryl Weivoda from North End Hardware and The Lowry Cafe said, “We wish we could do Harvest Festival another day yet this year, but due to permitting and the cost of putting together the event in the first place, we just don’t have the kind of funding that would allow us to rebook the tent, stage, barricades, bands, etc.”
However there was something positive that came from preparing for the event! The Police Activity League (PAL) was planning to host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Harvest Fest, and thanks to a very gracious sponsor, four brand new basketball hoops were donated to PAL for the event and future needs.
To everyone who reached out with sadness and support about Harvest Festival, the Lowry Corridor Business Association would like to thank you!
