How to sign up and help make your neighborhood safe

The Minneapolis Police Department has an email alert service which provides targeted and timely information to anyone who signs up.

Crime prevention specialists routinely send out email crime alerts, meeting notices, press releases, and other important information to subscribers. For more details go to minneapolismn.gov/police/crimealert.

After entering your contact information, you can select the neighborhoods for which you’d like to receive alerts. You’ll also be able to indicate your level of involvement. This allows the Police Department to send out information that is most relevant to your crime concerns.

Other City of Minneapolis email subscription programs

Minneapolis provides other email subscription services to assist residents, businesses, workers and visitors to our city. If you are interested in learning about these programs, please go  to minneapolismn.gov/subscriptions/.

Have questions about crime prevention for your home or block? Contact your CPP/Safe Specialist Tim Hammett for additional prevention information. Call 311 or 612-673-3000. minneapolismn.gov/police/crimeprevention/police_outreach_safe-teams
