Season tickets for the 9th season of Legends @ the Capri go on sale June 1 – and what a fine season it will be! Artistic Director Dennis Spears has assembled a marvelous mix of music and artists, and he’s bringing up the lights at the Capri for Legends this year.
The four-show season begins with Sophisticated Lady – A Tribute to Natalie Cole featuring Ginger Commodore and friends on September 10 and 11. Pianist Dan Chouinard accompanies enchanting vocalists Gwen Matthews and Gevonee Ford in Chances Are: The Johnny Mathis Duets on November 19 and 20.
Shirley Marie Graham, Sanford Moore and guests usher in an evening of glorious gospel music in Sweeping Through the City on February 11 and 12, 2017. And Erin Schwab and her band conclude the season with Judy Garland and Bette Midler classics in Judy! You Bette! on April 22 and 23.
Saturday night concerts begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday concerts start at 3 p.m. Season tickets for the four shows are
$80 (a $20 savings over single ticket prices), and available at thecapritheater.org or 612-343-3390. Capri Star season tickets are also available for $125, including a $45 tax-deductible contribution to Capri Theater arts programs. The Capri is at 2027 West Broadway.
