Be uplifted! Capri Glee! youth and adult choirs, under the direction of Dennis Spears and J.D. Steele, perform in concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at the Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway. The concert is free and open to the public.
“You’ll hear a wonderful mix of R&B, soul and gospel music – and you’ll see how music connects and creates communities,” said J.D. Steele, who directs the adult singers. “It’ll be a joyful, soul-infusing experience, which we all need, especially in these times.” Joining the choir are Fred Steele on piano, Kenyari Steele Jackson on drums and Yohannes Tona on bass.
The K-5 Capri Glee students, under Dennis Spears’ direction, will surely capture your heart. These young people have grown to love their “singing time” and you’ll see the love as they bring you glee-full, positive musical messages through song and dance.
