Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention opened an office on the Pillsbury United Communities Camden campus, 1200 37th Ave. N., in 2014. Since then they have concentrated on domestic violence intervention, juvenile diversion, family services outreach, and community education programs at the site.
They now invite women to a healing circle to address support needs to build healthy relationships in the future. The free four-part, 90 minute Marpe’ Hope Circle is being offered on Tuesdays beginning May 24, from 5-8 p.m. (light meal provided). The setting is a cozy, confidential space and is facilitated by the Oasis staff of experienced women’s advocates.
The healing circle is for women who want to begin to recover from abusive or controlling pattern of interactions with others; want to rebuild their sense of safety and healthy relationship boundaries; and want to pass on healthy relationship expectations and acceptable behaviors to their children.
The free series includes curriculum materials and supplies, and features women’s nutrition/fitness, self-care, and finances presented by guest speakers.
To join contact Oasis facilitator E. B. Brown at 612-529-6055, ebbrown@agapeoasis.com, or visit agapeoasis.com. No childcare is available during four-part series.
