ViNA Seeks new Part-time Administrator

With the impending retirement of its long time coordinator this summer, ViNA will need a new, part-time administrator. This 20-hours per week position (at least two night meetings a month are required) is responsible for managing the ViNA office and staffing the monthly ViNA and Board of Directors meetings; working with the Board and Committees to implement ongoing and new programs; ensuring proper contracting, budgeting and financial management for ViNA operations, programming, and projects; communicating with residents and business owners in the neighborhood, including preparing the written and e-newsletter and Camden News column; and providing general community relations and liaison with the City, Park Board, and 4th Precinct as well as the other neighborhood administrators throughout the City.

Are you or someone you know interested? We’re looking for someone with good organizational and communication skills, a good financial aptitude, experienced with Microsoft Office, self-motivated and directed, and able to manage volunteers and other part-time staff. A two- or four-year degree is preferable, but a combination of education and experience will also be considered. Residence on the Northside is preferable. We’d like to have someone in place by June 2016, so there can be several weeks of overlap with the current staff to learn the sometimes complicated contracting and programming management needs.

The complete job description can be found online at the ViNA website victoryneighborhood.org. Interested parties should submit a résumé and cover letter by March 18, 2016 to Diane Spector, ViNA Chair, 2200-44th Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55412.
