Northside Housing Fair a huge success

Hundreds of Northside residents turned out on a beautiful Saturday, March 12, to attend the Northside Housing Fair at Lucy Craft Laney School. The free event, hosted by the Cleveland Neighborhood Association, featured 50 vendors with a wide range of resources and information for homeowners and renters.

“I believe these types of events are great for building community, increasing awareness about the amenities and housing on the Northside,” said attendee Chris O’Neil. Kids’ activities, hosted by Minneapolis Community Education were a big hit. Workshops by a variety of sponsors and vendors were a huge hit. So was the free lunch provided by the Patrick Henry Asian Culture Club and the Camden Lions! The Homeline Renters Clinic provided resources and 1-on-1 consultations with an expert lawyer in housing related issues.

“Everyone needs safe and stable housing,” shared Ariah Fine, Executive Director of the Cleveland Neighborhood Association, “We’re grateful for all of the sponsors, vendors and volunteers who came together to provide this great one-stop-shop for their fellow Northside neighbors.”
