On February 12, Henry High was packed for an event titled “A Community Forum on Black America with Bernie Sanders.” The event was hosted by Neighborhoods Organizing for Change.
The forum focused on “the Black experience in America, and specifically in Minnesota, home to some of the worst racial disparities in the country.” Topics included “how the federal government can divest public resources from structures that cause and widen our racial disparities, and invest in radical solutions being developed in Black communities and other communities of color.”
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was the featured guest, and other panelists were Roderick Adams, Ngeri Azeuwah, Ann Haines, Anthony Newby, Devon Nolan and Felicia Perry. Photo by Rebecca Branch.
