CAST presents The Colored Museum

Comedy comes to the Capri when high school scholars in the Capri After School Theater program (CAST) present The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 at the Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway. The performance is free and open to the public.

“Our student actors are bringing serious issues of identity to the stage in a way that puts these issues

in a whole new light,” said Kevin West, CAST Artistic Director. “In the process our students are discovering how powerful comedy can be.”

This CAST group has been working together since the beginning of the school year. “They’re growing in confidence and ability, and they’re beginning to see that they can be successful,” said West. “I invite everyone to come see and support their work – and enjoy a very funny show.”

The CAST program is free and open to all students currently enrolled in high school. Spring session will begin on April 25. To enroll, or for info on CAST or The Colored Museum, contact 612-643-2039 or kwest@pcyc-mpls.org.
