Two of the Twin Cities’ favorite crooners, Maud Hixson and Arne Fogel, bring the much-loved music of

Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney to the Legends stage in Fancy Meeting You Here: The Crosby Clooney Story, at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 13 and 3 p.m. Sunday, February 14 at the Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway.

Featuring classic songs by Irving Berlin (Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me; White Christmas), Sammy Cahn, Jimmy Van Heusen (Love Won’t Let You Get Away) and many other masters from the Great American Songbook, this show brings to life some of the best entertainment of the mid-20th Century.

Fancy Meeting You Here celebrates the dazzling vocal partnership between Crosby and Clooney,” said Dennis Spears, Artistic Director for Legends @ the Capri. “People of all ages will enjoy going back in time to a grand time in American music history.”

Arne Fogel appears frequently as a singer at the top jazz venues in the Twin Cities and served as the opening act for Rosemary Clooney during her December 2001 appearance at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Maud Hixson’s latest recording, Don’t Let a Good Thing Get Away, was named one of the best recordings of 2013 by the Star Tribune’s Critics Tally. Most recently, Hixson made her European debut at Crazy Coqs at the Regent Palace Hotel in London.

The inestimable Wolverines Jazz Trio accompanies Fogel and Hixson, topping off the concert in real style.
