The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Chamber Music Series begins next month. The three concert series includes performances on Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m. featuring W.A. Mozart’s Grande sestetto concertante based on Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat, K. 364, and one additional work to be announced. The Thursday, December 10 concert at 7 p.m. features J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos: No. 3 in G, No. 6 in B-flat and No. 5 in D. The final concert on Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. features Antonin Dvorák’s Terzetto in C for Two Violins and Viola, Opus 74 and Felix Mendelssohn’s Quintet in B-flat for Two Violins, Two Violas and Cello, Opus 87.
Single tickets for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Chamber Music Series at the Capri Theater (2027 West Broadway) went on sale August 17. Single tickets are $15 each for general admission seating and are available at thespco.org or 651-291-1144.
As a part of SPCO’s mission to make classical music more accessible, one-third of the 250 seats in the Capri will continue to be offered free on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for free tickets will be offered one month prior to each concert date. Watch for announcements on how and when to reserve your free tickets.
Legends at the Capri: The Legends season features three shows: B3 Blues with Yolande Bruce and Julius Collins at 7 p.m. on November 14 and 3 p.m. on November 15; Fancy Meeting You Here! A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby featuring Maud Hixson and Arne Fogel at 7 p.m. on February 13 and 3 p.m. on February 14; and Superstitious Thriller, A Jazzy Tribute to Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson featuring Cameron Wright and Jay Young at 7 p.m. on April 23 and 3 p.m. on April 24.
